Who am I to Guide You?
My name is Tami Gaines and, although my life has been largely defined by tremendous achievement, the road to those successes has, often been lined with giant potholes – seemingly insurmountable obstacles. I have found hidden gifts of growth in every challenge and embrace each setback as a choice to be bigger than my problems. Having extremely premature twins was, perhaps, the biggest challenge I’d faced.
What Can I Do To Help You?
Quite simply, if you are a person that would like to grow through your experience of having a premature baby(ies) — here, you can find experience-based, heart-centered, guidance to help you find the light in even your darkest times. You’ll learn my proven systems for transforming this emotional roller coaster into one of great personal growth.
My experience of having premature twins is detailed in Preemie Parents, 26 Ways to Grow With Your Premature Baby. After navigating the most difficult and transformational two years of my life, that included a six-week stay in the hospital; an 18-month journey with my 25-week-young twins in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; an unexpected divorce after nearly 12 years of marriage; and losing both of my grandmothers within three months, I finally agreed to do what doctors, nurses and parents had been asking me to do – share my story of triumph and my process for successfully emerging a more empowered person.
The emotional rollercoaster, the relentless battering my heart and soul took and the feelings of isolation were the most difficult to overcome. Despite the magnitude of what I was dealing with, I didn’t want therapy or to sit in a group with people who’d gone through the same thing so we could wallow in our sorrows together. I simply wanted to find peace with my situation, grow from it and move forward. I searched both online and off and couldn’t find the type of support I wanted. I launched PreemieParents.com to help others find the one moment in their greatest challenge, when they discover that they are not as weak as they once believed – the moment when they find their inner strength. The one moment that makes everything that follows…possible.
